After 5 long years of debilitating pain and suffering with nerve compression from 2 discs in my neck, I finally managed to have surgery 11 months ago. The outcome has been amazing and I am now back in the gym and pool, and not having to rely on any pain killers to get through each day. I first met Mr Morassi one week before the first Covid lockdown and had to wait 2.5 further year's for surgery but have no doubt that my recovery is down to Mr Morassi's skill, care and attention to detail in making the surgery such a success. I look forward to being signed off shortly! Thank you!

My fiancé had neck surgery - Mr Morassi was very professional, patient and took time to explain and reassure us of what would be happening. He explained the benefits and potential risks of having the operation or not. After a 8.5hr operation Mr Morassi took the time to contact me personally to inform me the operation had been a success.

Mr Morassi is an incredible man, his consideration and and compassion goes beyond expectation. My operation was cancelled many times and I felt that Mr Morassi was completely in my corner. While I was in hospital he visited every day and showed very genuine concern. However the thing that will always stay with me is that following my surgery of about eight hours, Mr Morassi personally called my wife to let her know that I was in recovery and that the surgery had gone well

Mr Morassi is a rare breed in the consultant world; many have an air of superiority and can (however unintentionally) come across as almost intimidating to us mere mortals. Not so Mr Morassi. He is a very knowledgeable, calming and reassuring man with no pretences who explains things in simple terms and ensures your understanding of things. I was a private patient for a spinal decompression but sadly one of the possible issues they talk about arose within a couple of days and I was back in worse agony than before (I was still in hospital by this time). Mr Morassi discharged me from my private operation and referred me back to NHS, where he himself completed the second operation the following day. 24 hours post second op I am walking unaided (albeit only short distances so far) and in a lot less pain. I can’t thank you enough! Would I trust him to perform surgery on me again? 100% yes.

Mr Morassi operated on my spine to pin and support a collapsed vertebra damaged by a solitary plasmacytoma. He communicated clearly and kindly what the diagnosis was and what procedure he was going to do. When I went for my follow up meeting he was well prepared with my notes and X rays. He gave me clear advice and answered my questions knowledgeably. I did not feel rushed for his time. He is personable with a good sense of humour.
